Install the extension

Get BulkChatGPT from the Chrome Web Store. It works on Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc, and any Chromium-based browser.

2

Open chatgpt.com

BulkChatGPT loads the list of your non-project conversations and adds a checkbox next to each one in the sidebar. A small toolbar appears at the top of the sidebar with "Delete selected" and "Refresh" buttons.

3

Pick & delete

Click each checkbox you want to remove (or shift-click to select a range). When you're done, click "Delete selected" — the extension sends a delete request once per second until the list is done. You can cancel mid-batch at any time.

What gets deleted, exactly?

  • Only conversations from your ChatGPT sidebar.
  • Only the ones you ticked.
  • Project conversations are protected — they will not appear with a checkbox.

Why a 1-second pause?

ChatGPT will rate-limit (or temporarily block) your account if you make too many deletion calls in a row. A 1-second pause is the sweet spot — fast enough that bulk cleanup feels quick, slow enough that the API doesn't refuse.

Daily limits

  • Free, no account — 5 deletes per day per device.
  • Free, signed in by email — 10 deletes per day.
  • Premium ($6.99 one-time) — unlimited deletes, forever.

How sign-in works

Click "Sign in with email" in the extension popup. Enter your email — we send a 6-digit code. Type it back in. That's it: your daily limit goes from 5 to 10 (or to unlimited if you've purchased Premium with the same email).
